- Only one person from each professional category is allowed
to join MABB. An application must be submitted with a
check made payable to MABB for the annual fee of
$99, and the MABB Membership Committee determines the applicant’s acceptance into the group. Member-
ship is not based on a first-come, first-served basis, but on a
variety of aspects such as service, customer satisfaction and
the applicant’s references. If an applicant is not accepted
into the group, their check is returned to them.

- It is the member’s responsibility to file a concern with the
MABB Membership Committee regarding a visitor’s conflicts with
that member’s professional category. This
should be done only if the visitor submits an application to
join MABB, and before they are approved for membership.
The MABB Membership Committee has the authority to
make the final decision on the matter.
- Attendance is critical to the success of MABB as well as for
your own personal gain. If a member is unable to attend a
meeting, you may send a substitute to take your place.
When you send a substitute, your absence will not be recorded as a
missed meeting. Members are allowed six absences in a rolling 12
month period. If you miss more than six meetings, your professional
category will be opened by the MABB Membership Committee. You may
also "buy back" up to two absences by meeting one on one with another
MABB member and completing a MABB Attendance Buy Back Questionaire.

- Leaves of absence for a medical reason may be granted by
the MABB Membership Committee on a case-by-case basis. The member
requesting a medical leave should
appoint a substitute to attend the meetings while the
member is away. If a medical leave should last longer
than eight weeks, the occupational category may be
opened by the MABB Membership Committee. CLICK HERE to get a MABB Leave
of Absence Form.
- The weekly meetings last for 90 minutes. Members are required
to stay for the entire time. If they are unable to do
so, they may send a substitute to the meeting to take their
place.
- Visitors may attend MABB meetings up to two times, at
which time they may submit an application to join the
group.
- Members must represent only one occupation.
- Members who wish to change their professional category
must submit a new application and get approval from the
MABB Membership Committee for the classification
change. The member would not be required to submit the
annual fee if they are still within the same membership
year.
- If problems should arise relating to a member’s business
practices or commitment to the group, the MABB Membership
Committee has the authority to put that member on
probation, the terms of which to be determined by the
membership committee.
- If a member’s active status is terminated and their category
is opened by the MABB Membership Committee, the
member will not be refunded the annual fee.
- A member’s occupational category may be opened by the
MABB Membership Committee for failure to comply by
these policies.
- An individual member should not be a member of another
group that allows only one person per occupational category,
and whose primary purpose is to pass referrals to one
another. Membership in two such groups substantially reduces
commitment to the group, and the MABB Membership Committee
has full authority to open your category if this situation arises.
